Park Hill Christian Church Student Ministries seeks to develop disciples who walk as Jesus walked (1 John 2:6) through increasing their knowledge, wisdom and understanding of God and His Word. We desire to help our students produce good fruit as they learn to know God better and better (Colossians 1:9-10).
PHCCSM desires to be a place where students and families are loved, encouraged, challenged, and strengthened as they grow in their faith. Our primary goal is to help youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by providing them the resources to grow in worship, ground them in the Word, and give them opportunities to witness and serve others as well as give them the skills and the support they need to make wise decisions at this critical time in their lives. We accomplish this through a variety of programs including: Sunday School: a platform of discipleship and fellowship. It is a time of age specific community and a time for students to connect to each other and dedicated caring adults. Students will survey they entire Bible every three years. Sunday school happens every Sunday from 10:15 - 11:00 am Northland Youth Group: a network of students and leaders from various churches that seeks to provide a place to invite, inspire, affirm, and equip students for discipleship and Christian leadership in their lives and communities. It aims at seeing youth become committed to Christ and the local church. It is also a more broad form of fellowship and support that connects students’ faith with the body of Christ outside of this local group of believers (PHCC). Northland Youth Group happens the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. The fourth Sunday is here at PHCC. We have a common time of eating and games and then divide up into grade level groups for a time of discussion. Camps: How can we walk as Jesus walked without extensive exposure to the Word of God. A typical day at camp will have some form of personal and/or group devotions and an evening chapel service in addition to TONS OF FUN and RECREATION. We believe God uses summer camp to establish spiritual markers that students will remember for a lifetime. The goal is to connect students and leaders through small group Bible study, engaging worship, and activities built around strengthening relationships. Various camps happen throughout the summer from June through August. Service: We are never more like Jesus than when we are serving regardless of the capacity… VBS, serving locally in Kansas City, state-wide, in the US or globally. Service and mission trips challenge comfort zones, bring us together as believers in Christ, and provide a conduit to bless others and be blessed by God. Various service projects and mission trips take place throughout the year. |
